Lonely Planet’s Malaysia, Singapore & Brunei 11th edition hit the newsstands in January 2010 and we were delighted to find out that Mountain Torq’s via ferrata and Pendant hut is listed in there. Check out pages 359 and 364.

Channel News Asia invited Mountain Torq to appear on Primetime Morning and we brought along 2 of our customers, Addison and Victoria to share with everyone their experience.

We're listed by Guinness World Records as the world's highest via ferrata - 15th December 2009
Guinness World Records certification for Mountain Torq’s via ferrata has been officially announced! At a press conference held on the 15th of December, Wilfred Tok, our founder, said that this certification is both an honour and a privilege. Needless to say, Guinness World Records is the global authority on world records whose annual Guinness World Records book is published in more than 100 countries and 25 languages. Mountain Torq supported Orangutan Appeal UK, Orangutan Awareness Week 9-15 November 2009
In the spirit of its support for Eco-Tourism, Mountain Torq was a proud sponsor for this initiative which was represented by Hayley Bagnall, Liaison Officer to the Orangutan Appeal UK. Mountain Torq hosted Hayley’s stay on the mountain and via ferrata experience. In addition, Mountain Torq donated RM1000 to the cause.


Mountain Torq @ Adventure Travel & Backpackers Expo – Sydney
Mountain Torq joined Malaysian Tourism’s delegation, exhibiting at the show which was held from the 7th to the 8th of November 2009. We were present to showcase our products to consumers and trade professionals alike who were interested in our unique mountain adventure.

This last road trip for the year rounded up a hectic schedule for 2009, having had participated in more than 10 exhibitions across 7 countries around the Asia-Pacific region. Look out for us in 2010 as we might just be in your neighbourhood.

MountainTorq was present at ITB Asia's Exhibition 2009. It ran from the 21st to the 23rd of October 2009 at Suntec City. We were there to answer your questions and showcase our product, the Via Ferrata experience through our videos and meet the trainers session.
